Japan’s cosmetics market draws strong interest.

The 4th International Cosmetics Development Expo—COSME Tech 2013—which was held June 26-28 at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan, was deemed a great success by its organizers. Larger and more international than ever, reports show the number of exhibitors reached 368 this year, up from 324 in 2012. Registered visitors totaled 20,638, including those attending the concurrent COSME Tokyo 2013. Organizers say many of the exhibitors, eager to tap into Japan’s cosmetics market (the world’s second largest), have already booked for next year’s show.
